The Republic of Ireland occupies most of the island of Ireland, off the coast of England and Wales. Its eastern capital, Dublin, is the birthplace of writers including Oscar Wilde and Samuel Beckett, and home of Guinness beer. Nicknamed the "Emerald Isle” for its lush landscape of rolling green hills, it’s dotted with castles and ancient sites, such as massive 12th-century Cahir Castle.

Wow what a beautiful Castle kids and I wonder how many of you have been to visit it. You are so lucky to have castles in your country, so many kids only get to build them on the sands when they on holiday. Dr. DoDiddily and the Dee Dot's have quite a lot of Castles in their country of Wales as well. My favourite one in Wales is called Denbigh Castle and is around the same age as Cahir Castle as well. In fact our two countries are very the same and I do believe when the world was really very, very new many thousands of years ago that they were joined together.

SURE

(Children wearing emerald scarves or ribbons and shamrocks with ordinary dress green)

So fond you are of shamrocks,

So very fond of green,

Why did you coe, St. Patrick's Day?

Until March snowbanks go away

Your colour can't be seen!

(St. Patrick's Day, wearing all green with shamrocks)

O darlin' little children,

With eyes so bright and keen,

What do I care what March may do?

The world I love best shows my hue,

While you and all the likes of you

Are wearin' of the green!
